  • Current State of Development

I see from the original CodeHaus project page[1] that development has moved over to the Spring Community as an integral part of the whole, which is great news. I'd like to ask about the current state of development and roadmap for this:

    * State of support for both OAuth 1.0a and OAuth 2.0 (in development) features?

    * Roadmap for which releases of Spring Security will include this module?

    * Do you have, or contemplate, features that would assist someone
wanting to build an authentication server for OAuth 2.0, in addition
to the usual client side filter support for a client app?

    Thanks!

    Craig

Re: Current State of Development Reply to Thread

    Hello.

Sorry for the late reply. My notifications weren't set up correctly.

Re: state of support for 1.0a and 2.0: 1.0a is fully supported. Much of 2.0 is supported, but not stable because the spec may change before the final release. For more info see http://static.springsource.org/sprin...th/oauth2.html.

Re: roadmap for spring security: The OAuth extension won't be included in the main Spring Security release and has a completely separate release cycle.

Re: authentication provider: it's already fully supported, both client-side and provider-side support.
