  • Configuration for two authentication schemas with two endpoints

    Hi,

First of all, this is my first project with Spring/Spring Security.

I'm currently developing a GWT application which will be deployed on GAE. I've applied the solution exposed by Luke Taylor in his post http://blog.springsource.com/2010/08...le-app-engine/

This is working fine, but I'd like to expose a REST web service (Spring MVC) in another URL (not GWT). So I'd like to use an authentication schema (digest authentication) for the urls under GWT and another one for the REST web service.

I've upgraded Spring Security to 3.1.0M2 as this version allows several http elements defined in namespace configuration, but my problem is that I don't know how to configure the authentication for the webservice, as I have defined an authentication manager for the GWT portion of my app and I can't declare a second authentication manager.

Please, could anybody provide a minimal example (in memory user service is enough) of this configuration?.

    Best regards,

    Juan Carlos

There is easy (i.e. using the namespace configuration) way to use two different AuthenticationManager's at this time. Instead you typically stack the AuthenticationProviders and they are tried in succession. Alternatively, you can look at this blog and create two FilterChain's with the standard configuration.
