  • Creating a cookie on authentication success

    Hi,

I need to create a custom cookie on authentication success in order to communicate the logged in username with the static portion of our site. The AuthenticationSuccessEvent class does not have access to a response object so I don't think I could use a listener for that. I could override TokenBasedRememberMeServices onLoginSuccess() method but that only helps me if the user happens to check the remember me box.

Is there some other place I could hook into in order to create this cookie? I'm using Spring-Security 3.0.

    Thanks

In case anyone still wants to know, I ended up overriding the onAuthenticationSuccess() method in the SavedRequestAwareAuthenticationSuccessHandler.
