  • A better Spring-AOP Method Level Security Interceptor

I think I may have created a better AspectJ method level security interceptor, that works well on
    • Java5
    • with Annotations

I think the code is better because
    • Doesn't require the callback that AspectJInterceptor instantiates on every call
    • Automatically weaves around all @Secured methods
    • Uses some caching for performance

I am interested in peer review. Perhaps this is a nice submission for future ACEGI security?

Thanks for the contribution. Could you open a Jira issue and post your code in there? It's a more useful place for contributions and discussions on them. It's liable to get swamped here.

      Done already

Already created the JIRA entry: SEC-563. But thx for outlining the preferred change procedure.

I am thinking about an even better version using Spring AOP 2.0 and per-JoinPoint instantiation. This would make the code even smaller, yet faster and with less memory footprint. I'd update the JIRA entry then.

I'd be honored to make a contribution to Spring Security.
