  • Fine grained resource access permissions

    Hi,

I'm looking for a simple way to protect static resources. Access permissions are not role based, but user based, and I would like to store this permissions in a database.

For example, file /resources/4/data.xml should only be accessed by those users having a database entry pointing to that path.

    Any hints? Thanks in advance.

Take a look at the Spring Security ACL module. From there, you should be able to do this using the view technology of your choice combined with the @PreAuthorize tag. For example a controller or possibly extend the spring resources servlet (or whichever class that was that moved from spring webflow to spring core that handles static content).
