  • Unable to find org.springframework.roo.annotations:jar:1.1.1.RELE ASE

    Hi, when generating a new project using roo it adds dependencies for the following which are not available from any maven repository:

    Code:
    aspectjweaver : 1.6.11.M1
    org.springframework.roo.annotations:jar:1.1.1.RELEASE
    I was able to get aspectjweaver by downgrading the version to 1.6.10 but where do I find roo annotations?

    I have following repositories listed in my POM:
    <repository>
    <id>spring-maven-release</id>
    <name>Spring Maven Release Repository</name>
    <url>http://maven.springframework.org/release</url>
    </repository>
    <repository>
    <id>spring-maven-milestone</id>
    <name>Spring Maven Milestone Repository</name>
    <url>http://maven.springframework.org/milestone</url>
    </repository>
    <repository>
    <id>spring-roo-repository</id>
    <name>Spring Roo Repository</name>
    <url>http://spring-roo-repository.springsource.org/release</url>
    </repository>
    <!-- added for missing roo dependencies -->
    <repository>
    <id>spring-maven-snapshot</id>
    <name>Spring Maven Snapshot Repository</name>
    <url>http://maven.springframework.org/snapshot</url>
    </repository>

    The Roo annotations jar is available at

    http://spring-roo-repository.springs....1.RELEASE.jar

    which is consistent with your repo setup:

    Code:
    <repository>
    <id>spring-roo-repository</id>
    <name>Spring Roo Repository</name>
    <url>http://spring-roo-repository.springsource.org/release</url>
    </repository>
    Not sure why you cannot access it (proxy / firewall?).

      same problem

      I have the same problem. The repository for roo claims only an error:

      Code:
      <Error>
      <Code>NoSuchKey</Code>
      <Message>The specified key does not exist.</Message>
      <Key>release</Key>
      <RequestId>3F04A14D516BAB52</RequestId>

      </HostId>
      </Error>
      I'am using nexus (without problems for other repos) ... no proxy problem at all.

      As a workaround you can copy the annotations.jar files from roo itself into your local maven repo ... then you are able to get the projects to work.

      The expected aspectjweaver version is also nowhere available (downgrade works ... but this is nothing I want to do for every project).
