  • Where are my pretty form fields e.g. Date picker?

Generated a small project with some entities containing java.util.Date fields.

Some tuts online are showing date picker as part of the generated form field but I am not getting this with Roo versions 1.0.2 or 1.1.0M2.

Have I missed a command somewhere?

This should happen automatically. You would need to post more details. What web browser are you using? I generated the first chapter of Roo in Action with 1.1.0.M2 and it generates fine. Are you using the roo controller scaffold command? If you're hand-coding the pages, you'd need to use the jspx tags to properly render the fields.

Here is an example I wrote which shows how to do it manually (i.e. without using Roo). Perhaps it can help you debug your Roo-generated code.

Thanks, guys. I used the 'controller all' command.
And I am using the Chrome browser.

I had to manually add the @DateTimeFormat annotation to the field.
