  • Loading user specific data

I'm sure this has been answered before but I've been searching for a while and struggling to find a good example of how to load user specific data.

What i want to do is have a user login and then have data for various pages loaded depending on the username. For instance i want to have a profile page which is user specific.

Could this be done with some sort of custom url for each user which then causes the back end to load the data for that user?

    Thanks
    Peter

Well the spring way would be to use spring-security.

What you would need is to make your entity which implements UserDetails (or some thing similar from spring security). Then in the controller you can return use centered content.

I would recommend https://www.packtpub.com/spring-security-3/book, and spring security manual

I am working on a series of tutorials for ROO users inspired from the book, you should be able to find it at http://hatimonline.com/2010/08/04/sp...ty-tutorial-0/
