How do you bind your cancel button? And what do you want to do when the cancel comes to the controller?
The way it is done is that once this controller puts a POST og GET request, you can bind variables to the controller, and then based on those decide where to go from there. redirect controller else where or call the same pager with putting some things in the response.
You will definetly need to read the spring mvc chapter if you want to work with it.
