  • backup command lost my files

I have modified the .jspx files to my style. Today, i use the backup command in roo shell in STS and unfortunately, it changes my views file to the auto-generated one. I want to recovery my .jspx file to be the original one. How should i do? Why backup command will change our file to the auto-generated by spring roo one?

Actually, the backup command did not loose your changes .

In the 1.0 releases of Roo all jspx artifacts are managed by Roo - meaning all changes will be replaced unless you tell Roo not to manage your artifacts (automaticallyMaintainView = false). So by restarting the Roo shell on your project your changes were replaced.

The new version of Roo (1.1) will round trip your view artifacts so that your changes will not get lost.

    HTH,
    Stefan
