    I am getting this error in Roo shell. This happens when I am running the steps one by one. If I quit from shell between each step this error dont happen. This is what I did.
    project --topLevelPackage com.tenminutes
    persistence setup --provider HIBERNATE --database HYPERSONIC

    I tried RC3 and latest from trunk. I am using Win XP SP3 on Intel.

    I can't reproduce this, and I'm running the same setup as you are (WinXP SP3 on Intel against trunk). Are you able to reproduce consistently? Could you try in another directory? The Undo statements suggest that Roo fails to edit an existing file (pom.xml probably), could something else be locking the file perhaps, like a virus scanner? If you have a virus scanner active and you are able to disable it, try that first.

      I get this too

      This happens to me now and then as well; I'm using:
      • Win XP SP 2
      • Roo 1.0.0.RELEASE
      • JDK 1.6.0_17
      • Maven 2.2.1 (probably irrelevant)
      Update: switching off my virus checker's real-time scanner (TrendMicro) seems to have fixed this. Thanks Joris!
