  • Roo Not Working

    I have donwloaded STS (2.1.0 SR01) and began to read something about ROO. I understand this version includes ROO. The problem is that when I go to DOS and run ROO, I receive the following error:

    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: de
    Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: de
    at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source)
    at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
    at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
    at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(Unknown Source)
    Could not find the main class: de. Program will exit.

    This doesn´t give a clue about what the error could be. This are my settings to env variables:

    C:\>echo %JAVA_HOME%
    C:\Archivos de programa\Java\jdk1.6.0_12

    C:\>echo %ROO_HOME%
    C:\Archivos de programa\Springsource\roo-1.0.0.RC1

    C:\>echo %PATH%
    C:\orant\bin;C:\Oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0 \server\bin;C:\WINDOWS\system3
    2;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;C:\orant\jdk \bin;C:\ARCHIV~1\ULTRAE~1;C:\A
    rchivos de programa\Informix\Connect\bin;c:\Archivos de programa\Microsoft SQL S
    erver\100\Tools\Binn\;c:\Archivos de programa\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\Binn\
    ;C:\Archivos de programa\SlikSvn\bin\;C:\Archivos de programa\Springsource\roo-1
    .0.0.RC1\bin\;C:\Archivos de programa\Apache-maven-2.2.1\bin\;C:\ORAWIN\BIN;

    Any help ?
    Regards, Javier

    @jposadas,

    This looks weird. "ClassNotFoundException: de" It seems your start script is wrong. Can you try and download Roo separately and point the classpath to that fresh install as per readme? Also, don't forget to restart your windows shell after setting environment variables.
