  • [JSF] How to add new SubMenus and/or MenuItems

    Hi,
    i successfully created a small prototype and adjusted some files to my needs.

    To make it smooth I need to add a few pages. But how to manipulate the p:menu since the model is comes from an ITD?

    PHP Code:
    <ui:composition>
        <
    p:menu model="#{applicationBean.menuModel}" style="width:198px"/>
    </
    ui:composition
    Should I add a new MenuBean that calls applicationBean.menuModel and then manipulates it?

    Best Regards,
    Christian.

    Hey,

    I prefer this solution- you can add new menus directly in ApplicationBean.class and honor the spring-roo way of generating menus. You can move code from ApplicationBean_Roo_ApplicationBean to ApplicationBean class and there override default generated menus.

    Other way arounds are the think that you suggested - new MenuBean and you can copy/paste there generated code for the aspect or write the menu code directly in the facelet.
