  • Build Path errors when creating new Roo project (Roo 1.2.3.RELEASE)

    Hello,

I'm a new user of Roo and I've downloaded the latest release roo-1.2.3.RELEASE and I've installed the STS for Eclipse Juno. Once I've created my Roo project, I'm getting a build path error saying the project is missing the required source folders 'src/test/java' and 'src/main/java'. I've done a quick search on this issue and noticed that this issue was quite common for the older releases of roo. I was wondering if there was a fix for this issue in roo-1.2.3.RELEASE and I'm missing a required step, or if I just have to create those folders manually.

    Thanks.

One thing you could try starting by working with roo outside of eclipse, and then importing the resulting project into eclipse once it's completed. So...

    1. Launch roo
    2. Type: script --file (sample roo script)
    3. Exit roo

This should create your roo project with a src folder, and a pom.xml file. Then you can use maven to create an eclipse project by typing mvn eclipse:eclipse.
