  • JSF input field customisation

When using the JSF front-end, what is the best approach to change input field type? I have the following task: to implement password/confirm password Primefaces inputs instead of Roo-generated common text input. And I do not want to have @Transient 'pwd2' in my User entity, think Primefaces can handle all necessary checks themselves (am I right?).
More generally, sometimes there is need to change type to scrollable text box, or have time/date formats. But I can not see a clear way to make these changes in the Roo-generated projects.
Just an idea to make all necessary fields in xhtml manually, i.e. in create dialog exclude cycle and put primefaces tags for each field manually, and do this also for edit dialog...
    Any suggestions, please)
