  • jsf managed beans should be serializable

    Hi,

Why aren't jsf managed beans serializable?

The beans are created as session scoped by default, but if the user decides they want another scope, the @SessionScoped annotation is removed from the ITD. But I can also remove the Serializable interface as well if the bean is not session scoped, so please raise an improvement request for this. I can do this for Roo 1.2.1.

Raised and resolved https://jira.springsource.org/browse/ROO-3024. Went for a simple solution by adding @RooSerializable to managed bean class when created with the web jsf all or web jsf scaffold commands. Existing classes will need to have the annotation added manually if required.
