  • We use Spring Roo for SnapHop!

I just wanted to let the community know that we are using Spring Roo for our mobile marketing startup SnapHop: http://snaphop.com
    (actually http://app.snaphop.com)

    Its unofficial launched

Ben Alex and gang thank you so much for making Roo awesome!

I'm loving the *DataOnDemand aspects. Very very useful.

Advance apologies for the shameless plug but I know I am at least always interested in who is using Roo.
I'll write a blog post shortly on the subject if folks are interested.

    Very, very interesting.

You're using JQuery in a terrific look and feel.

Was it hard to program the view?

      Thanks @jbbarquero

I would say the one thing that I don't like about Spring Roo is the View generation. My business partner I don't find it very useful.
For look and feel I just recommend buying by a theme from Themeforest.

I question your suggestion to use a premade "theme" for a business, instead of a focused design for target customers. I wouldn't invest in a company with such a practice.

            @agentgt,

I really like your initiative of using premade themes like Themeforest for Spring Roo...
In fact another member suggested worldpress themes too.

Last but no least; jQuery-based libraries and components -like jQuery UI, jQuery Mobile, wijmo, kendo and jqGrid- should be included as well.

I already did some in-roads work in this regard and they fit very-very-very well with Spring Roo Web MVC.

Some links about it at http://pragmatikroo.blogspot.com/201...velopment.html and http://pragmatikroo.blogspot.com/201...-business.html.

BTW, congrats for your new app!.

            Thank you

MiB - is this not just an indication that they aren't ready for investment yet? Presumabely they're trying to get traction and will replace the design with a focused one if they achieve some kind of metric?
