  • mongo setup problem in Roo 1.2RC1

    Greetings,

    I found a potential problem while attempting to setup a multi-module project. I created two modules (core & web) and then setup jpa persistence in the core module. However, trying to setup mongo persistence in the core module fails. It does succede in the parent module.

    Code:
    project --topLevelPackage com.kn --projectName kn
    module create --moduleName kncore --topLevelPackage com.kn.core
    module focus --moduleName ~
    module create --moduleName knweb --topLevelPackage com.kn.web
    module focus --moduleName kncore

    jpa setup --database POSTGRES --provider HIBERNATE
    mongo setup
    <Command 'mongo setup' was found but is not currently available...>

    module focus --moduleName ~
    mongo setup
    <works>
    Let me know and I can create a JIRA ticket.

    You can't have mongo and jpa in the same module - that's by design. Please vote for https://jira.springsource.org/browse/ROO-2822 if you want cross-store persistence.

    We also don't prohibit jpa or mongo setup in a parent module (if either not already there) but would not encourage this.

      Ah yes, that makes sense. Thanks.
