  • Background Polling Thread - Does this Log?

    Hi there,

First, Spring Roo is awesome! I'm just starting out with it though so will be posting a few questions over the coming times.

I notice that if I work within STS and for example delete an entity class, Roo will also react to do some tidyup with the Background Polling Thread like this:

[Spring Roo Process Manager Background Polling Thread] Deleted SRC_TEST_JAVA\com\alistairparler\apps\organiser\do main\Resource2DataOnDemand_Roo_DataOnDemand.aj

But this is not logged in the log.roo file.

Is this by design? Or can I enable logging for this?

Also is there a way to delete entitites? Or is the preferred approach to just delete from within the IDE as you want and Roo will roundtrip everything else out?

    Thanks,
    Alistair

Roo logs executed commands, so if you delete something from STS or a file manager, it won't be logged

Roo does not delete .java files except for special circumstances (like an unmodified db-managed entity .java file if its table goes away), so you will need to manually delete the entity
