  • Possible to make an application without database

    Hi

I want to make web-application (front-end application) without any database. My application is going to be a front-end to some REST/Webservices back-end.

However it seems to me in ROO the the M (in MVC) has to be connected to a database.

    All inputs are welcome :
What is the best pattern for doing a webservice-based web-app ?
Can ROO help me making such an application or am I better off doing it manually ?
Or maybe I have got it completly wrong and there is other ways to do it ?

    Thanks,
    Armaz

+me I would be very happy, too, if it would be possible to build a mvc application without any persistence layer. My applications get their data exclusively from REST-Webservices like LinkedData (RDF) or SearchEngines like Solr. If I set a project up and just skip the step jpa... it fails to compile; this is only part of the solution https://jira.springsource.org/browse/ROO-1179 . This also reflects my need quite good: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/...-up-a-database
