  • Consumers using AckMode.AUTO won't reconnect to another cluster node.

    Good afternoon,

We recently took the leap to use rabbit client 3.3.1 with spring-amqp 1.3.4 to make use of auto-reconnection features.

We connect to a clustered rabbitMQ. It works great, but when the node we're currently connected to falls, our consumers are cancelled (or at least are not listed anymore on 'rabbitmqctl list_queues') and don't attempt to reconnect to another node in the list of configured addresses.

When we set the AckMode to NONE, consumers reconnect no problem. If we use the default AckMode or set it to AUTO (which I guess is the default), nothing happens regarding reconnection.

    Does anyone have any guesses?

    Thanks a lot,

    Guilherme.

Spring AMQP has its own reconnection logic; you should disable the rabbit client reconnection logic.
