  • JMX and AMQP

    Hi to everybody,
    looking at the spring-rabbit-stocks example I saw that the server allows for JMX integration.

    <context:mbean-export />
    Code:

        <bean id="registry" class="org.springframework.remoting.rmi.RmiRegistryFactoryBean"   p:port="1099" />

        <!-- Expose JMX over RMI -->
        <bean id="serverConnector" class="org.springframework.jmx.support.ConnectorServerFactoryBean" depends-on="registry"
              p:objectName="connector:name=rmi"
              p:serviceUrl="service:jmx:rmi://localhost/jndi/rmi://localhost:1099/myconnector" />
    Is it necessary? What is the advantage of exposing JMX beans in a AMQP application (I imagine for triggering the sending of a message for example)?
    Is there a simple example showing me how to use it? I wasn't able to manage any other bean via JMX..

    Best,
    Flavio
