  • Channel interceptor without subscribers

    Hi all.
    I need to configure a channel with a interceptor without a subscriber, something like this below:

    <int:channel id="endPointEventMessageChannel">
    <int:interceptors>
    <ref bean="onlineMdcCleanerInterceptor"/>
    </int:interceptors>
    </int:channel>

    If I run the application I receive this exception:
    Caused by: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Dispatcher has no subscribers.

    The reference manual shows the same example:
    <channel id="exampleChannel">
    <interceptors>
    <ref bean="trafficMonitoringInterceptor"/>
    </interceptors>
    </channel>

    Is not possible to have a channel only with an interceptor without a subscriber?

    Kind regards
    Massimo

    Could you please describe your use case? What are you trying to accomplish?
    Your current configuration is obviously wrong since you are defining a DirectChannel which is there to support P2P messaging model and P2P model states that both producer and consumer *must* be present.

    So please describe your use case and we'll help you to find the right solution.
