  • Possible Bug: How to ExtractPayload from Inbound XMPP Channel?

I'm trying to override the default behavior of the <xmpp:message-inbound-channel-adapter> to not extract the payload (I need the original smack message). The documentation implies you can override this by setting the 'extract-payload' property, but the schema doesn't allow this (as of SI 2.0.0.M7). I ended up having to manually create an instance of the XmppMessageDrivenEndpoint class to set the extractPayload property to false. This is ugly in my XML and would love to use the provided XMPP namespace where possible. Am I doing something wrong?

Possibly, but until you're sure I'd assume it's a bug. Try to reproduce the behavior from a test case and then log a bug against our issue tracker. Better safe than sorry.

The spring-integration-xmpp-2.0.xsd is missing the "extract-payload" element, so I'm certain it's a bug. I created JIRA ticket INT-1540 to capture the issue.
