  • Setting Charset in outbound-gateway

In section "17.3 Writing files" it is stated that you can configure "the encoding and the charset that will be used". It would be nice if it is possible to do this using the namespace of outbound-gateway as well.

Now we have to depend on the default charset, which is different on different OS (eg linux, mac and windows). I know you can set the default char for a jvm using a property (eg sun jvm -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8, but it would be nice to be able to configure it. This is already possible in the "file-to-string-transformer".

    thanks,
    Jettro

Thanks for pointing out this bug: http://jira.springframework.org/browse/INT-950.

It's unfortunate that I missed that one when implementing this. Eery that nobody seems to have noticed before... it must have been in for a year now :o
