  • Making the Cafe Demo work over JMS?

Has anyone attempted to modify the Cafe demo so that the channels work over a JMS provider (e.g. ActiveMQ or similar)?

Within the space of SI-1.0.3, how would you go about making it so that the "hotDrinks" and "coldDrinks" channels goe out to a JMS queue, so that the Barista service can be hosted on a separate machine?

I ask about SI-1.0.3 here because SI-2.0 isn't ready (and won't be for quite some time), so the <jms:channel> element is not an option.

    Thanks in advance,

    Sol

It shouldn't be a big problem to replace some channels with two channels with a JMS hop in between them. If you have some jms experience you should be able to do this very quickly. All the complexity is in the jms config.
