  • file-to-string transformer max size

can you please let me know what is the maximum size of the file supported for this transformation? and if there is a way to increase it?

    Thanks

The maximum size depends on available memory (whether it can accommodate the full content). If you are processing large files, I would highly recommend considering using Spring Batch alongside Spring Integration.

We are actually working on a solution that we previewed last week at SpringOne. Keep an eye on the SpringSource blog (http://blog.springsource.com) for the full details. Ultimately, we will be providing a lot of infrastructural components. For now, you can simply invoke a batch JobLauncher from a method that is invoked within an <outbound-channel-adapter/>.

Would the infrastructure piece be included with 2.0 M2 or some other release.

          Thanks

It will actually be either a separate project or a new module to be distributed with Spring Batch. The preview release (what we showed at SpringOne) will be available when we post a blog about it, and that should be happening within the next 2 weeks.
