  • imap with office365.. how to properly configure with @ in username

so office365's username is the email address.. so configuring the imap store as they do in the samples with the username in the store-uri won't work as now there's two @'s and it sees the first and makes the second part of email the imap host..

    store-uri="imaps://user@c[email protected][email protected]:993/inbox"

becomes user with no password at imap server company.com.

I tried to remove them and set the user and password in the javaMailProperties like this

    <prop key="mail.imap.user">[email protected]</prop>
    <prop key="mail.imap.password">paswword</prop>

but I still get an protocolConnect returning false the user displayed is user not [email protected]

    DEBUG: protocolConnect returning false, host=outlook.office365.com, user=user, password=<null>

    thanks!!

OK Solved it.. not sure why I was being stupid earlier and not trying to url encode the @ in the username.. at any rate doing user%40company.com in the store-uri made it work..
