  • getting files from a -, renaming files on a -, and sending files to a a SFTP server?

    Hi,

I am a super noob when it comes to all things Spring related, so do forgive my ignorance.

What I'm trying to do is create a standalone JAR application built with Spring integration that transfers files from a SFTP server to my local machine, after which I want to rename the files on the SFTP server that I downloaded and then after that write files from local to the SFTP server.

Currently I've managed to get the files from the SFTP server using the inbound channel adapter. I did do a bit of a workaround on the pollable channel though, because I want the process to run only once, not continuously. Is there another option to the inbound channel adapter?

Furthermore, I want to know how to rename files on the SFTP server and how to write files to the SFTP server.

    Thanks in advance...

We don't currently have support for renaming files on the remote server (although it should be easy to implement so I opened a JIRA issue https://jira.springsource.org/browse/INT-2981).

You don't need to use an inbound adapter and poller - you can use the gateway and ls (list) and get.

Sending files is achieved using an outbound channel adapter.

There are examples of using those components here... https://github.com/SpringSource/spri...ter/basic/sftp

Thank you so much Gary. This helps a lot.

Hope to see the renaming functionality in upcoming releases
