  • Undocumented "feature" of 2.0.5 vs 2.1.2 for JMS message-driven-channel-adapter

    Hi, just recently upgraded from 2.0.5.RELEASE to 2.1.2.RELEASE and found that we were unable to run our integration tests. The error stemmed from the following:

    Code:
    org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'org.springframework.integration.jms.ChannelPublishingJmsMessageListener#0': Cannot resolve reference to bean 'conversionStatusChannel' while setting bean property 'requestChannel'; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.factory.NoSuchBeanDefinitionException: No bean named 'conversionStatusChannel' is defined
    Here's the definition in question:
    Code:
    <jms:message-driven-channel-adapter id="jmsStatusQueue" channel="conversionStatusChannel"
                                            destination-name="conversion.status.queue"/>
    Note that when I added this definition the tests ran again:
    Code:
    <si:channel id="conversionStatusChannel"/>
    I was curious, previously did the message-driven-channel-adapter create a channel for you if one was not defined?

    Thanks!
