  • StackOverflowError While Enabling Integration JMX

    Hi,

    I am using the Spring Integration 2.0.5 release with Spring 3.0.5 release.

    When I enable the jmx monitoring of Spring Integration components by using tag:

    <integration-jmx:mbean-export>

    I am getting a StackOverflowError, when I take the tag off, the problem goes away.

    Any suggestion on what I could do to fix that would be most appreciated!

    attached stack trace zip file

    thanks very much,
    jim

    Hello

    Can you try it with Spring Integration 2.1.1 & Spring 3.1.1?

    There were a lot of fixed issues about JMX during those versions...

      I wish I could but we have long release cycle and it is too late to upgrade these components for this one. I guess I will have something to look forward to.
      Thanks very much,

        It looks like you might have to just increase the stack size above the default (-Xss); the top of your thread dump shows that you are out of Spring Integration by the time you take the stack overflow.

        Enabling JMX for S.I. will deepen the call stack.

          Yes, increasing the stack size was enough to fix it. Thanks very much for that tip (I think it's the first time that I've had a StackOverflowError where it wasn't because I made a coding mistake).
