  • Pause a jms message-driven-channel-adapter

is there a simple way of controlling a <jms:message-driven-channel-adapter/> so that we can pause it from taking messages off a queue? Maybe via JMX?

LifeCycle operations (start(), stop(), isRunning()) are now available via JMX for message-driven-channel-adapters (as of 2.0.4 - soon to be released). See https://jira.springsource.org/browse/INT-1806.

You can get it now by setting your POM to 2.0.4.BUILD-SNAPSHOT.

MBeans have been available for other adapters since 2.0. You export SI MBeans by adding <int-jmx:mbean-export/> to your config. 2.0.4 gives you some control over the object names via the object-name-static-properties attribute.

You can also send a message to an <int:control-bus/> with a payload of '@adapter.stop()' (where 'adapter' is the id of your adapter bean. This has also been available since 2.0.

    Hope that helps.
