Any resolution to this. I am getting the same no class def found error. Trying to run the demo in Getting Started with Roo.

How do you deploy it? Exploded deployment or build a war with mvn package and deploy that to the server?

Which Roo + Addon-Version are you using and from which publication is the Getting Started Guide? The O'Reilly book?

Can you by chance package the project and post it as zipfile?

I am building automatically in STS with maven and then just dragging the project to my tomcat deployment.

Of note, it errors in the build too.

The type org.neo4j.graphdb.Node cannot be resolved. It is indirectly referenced from required .class files

Could you please describe the exact steps that you're doing?
The version of STS as well. How did you install the spring-data-neo4j add-on?

Also with the output of mvn dependency:tree and your STS build-path.

Probably really package the project and put it on dropbox to download.

                Thanks a lot

I am thinking I am totally hosed. following the oriely book, when I do the following: addon search graph, it returns no results. Got me thinking it was built into STS at the version I am on. But maybe that is not right.

started over at the beginning. Oreily has me create a model named model then goes to convert it to a web app by specifying domain as the entity. When in fact there is no domain entity only model. So I run the command passing model and it seems to succeed. But then I build my project and it still can't build. Following is the error:

                    org.neo4j.graphdb.Relationship cannot be resolved

Is highlighted in applicationContext-graph.xml and Customer_Roo_ToString.aj

Could you attach the project? Including the roo-log?

                      Thanks a lot.

Attached is the Roo log. I cannot seem to split my project enough to zip it to a small enough file. However you could just create a new spring roo project in STS and execute the roo log. and you would have my project.

Thanks I'll have a look at it (but probably not today).

                          What's your exact STS version?

I would like to have the full version b/c of the current build-path and project settings that you've got in STS for this project.

You could put the full-zip on dropbox.

Please note as well that the roo addon will get an overhaul after the SDN 2.0.GA release. We will cooperate with the ROO team to move it into their responsibility.
