  • Spring Data Hadoop Build Errors

I was trying to compile the source and the build seems to be failing for default hadoop 1.0.4 as well as 2.0.3

    1.0.4

    $./gradlew
    ....

Could not resolve all dependencies for configuration ':optional'.

    2.0.3:

    ./gradlew -Pdistro=hadoop20 build

    compileJava

FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

    Hi,

The 1.0.4 build looks like a temporary network glitch - could you pull the latest and try building again.

There is an issue with the 2.0.3 build - one Hadoop dependency (commons-daemon) has an invalid pom and the build doesn't like that. More info here: https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/MVNCENTRAL-58

We're working on providing a workaround, but until then you have two options.

    1) follow these instructions: http://wlangiewicz.com/2013/02/08/pr...al-repository/

    2) If you have commit rights to the SpringSource repo you can provide your credentials in the init.gradle file - see: https://github.com/SpringSource/spri...authentication

Let me know if you still see issues.
