  • Oracle AQ Connection Multiplexing

I'm currently trying to use the Spring Data Oracle extension to read messages from Oracle's AQ. I can do this no problem. However, for each queue, the extension requires a new connection. I'd like to try and keep the number of connections to minimum - using only 1 or 2 queues if possible. I need to read from around 40 queues, so having 40 connections is not desirable.

One solution I have toyed with is having one queue which contains only the name of the other queue which now has data in it; using it to trigger wakeup. I'm not entirely convinced it'll be easy to do this whilst staying within the transactional safety offered by the standard implementation.

I've attached the code I have so far, for reference, here: http://pastebin.com/M2v9vzHV

    Thanks
