  • Using Customized TransactionInterceptor with Annotations

Question - Is there way to instruct Spring to utilize a different TransactionInterceptor implementation while using Transactional annotations?

Scenario - We have transactional methods which return a Response object which indicates success or failure. If the method was unsuccessful (response.isFailure() == true) we wish to perform a rollback. I am looking for a way to customize TransactionInterceptor to perform a rollback based on a failure of a Response object, rather than based on an Exception (or programmatically with setRollbackOnly()). I can see how I would modify TransactionInterceptor, but I cannot see how I would instruct Spring to use this modified implementation when it processes the Transactional annotation.

    I appreciate the help,

    Harlan

    Hi Harlan,

I am interesting in this case too, but with some difference. Have you found answer on your question? Can you share it?

    Thanks.
