  • how to set connection properties in jndi/datasource

    I'm getting datasource thru JNDI(configured in websphere server).

    I want to set some connection properties(like SetBigStringTryClob=true etc) in the datasource. Please let me know the way to do it.

    Thanks

    I don't know for sure but I would guess it would be something like this.

    Code:
    <bean id="dataSource" class="DRIVERCLASS">
          <property name="url"><value>URL</value></property>
          <property name="user"><value>user</value></property>
          <property name="password"><value>password</value></property>
          <property name="YOUR_ATTRIBUTE"><value>VALUE</value></property>
    </bean>

      You cannot. If you use a JNDI configured datasource you rely on the container/deployer to have configured everything correctly. You also have to remember that if you use a JNDI configured datasource that datasource can be used by everyone/-thing. So if you change settings those settings apply to ALL the users of that datasource.
