  • Do you use Transaction.SUPPORTS or NOT_SUPPORTED

    Hello,

I'm trying through this thread to get more information on transaction isolation. As I just raised an issue concerning a bug that appears with Spring 2.5 when using Transaction.SUPPORTS, 2 possibilities come to me :
    • I'm the only one who uses spring 2.5 (hardly possible)
    • I'm the only one who uses the SUPPORTS transaction propagation level.

Reading the doc shows that SUPPORTS and NOT_SUPPORTED transaction propagation level are hardly used because they may have strange behaviour.

It seems to me everybody uses the REQUIRED level.

Can someone tell me if they use SUPPORTS or NOT_SUPPORTED ?
Can someone @spring tell me why these 2 levels are not very well considered ?

Nope, never used it. Supports is more or less a noop and transaction suspension you get by NotSupported I usually solved by RequiresNew.
