  • Object corruption in update.

Iīm having a problem in Spring / hibernate.

I have a object which a get from an Oracle DB. One field in the object is String and has "-" in it(Donīt know if that is the problem or not). I then use the object and when I update the record that one filed in the object gets just a garbage in the filed. For example before update it has "AG-0074" and after update it got "*'" in it. This is the only filed that changes. This problem only occures when the program runs on Tomcat in Solaris, but not on Tomcat in Windows.

Does any one got any idea ?

    Best regards,

Hi, found out what the problem was.

I was using ojdbc14.jar for JDBC driver and that was the problem. Changed to classes111.jar and the problem does not occur any more.
