  • Invalid Column type ibatis and oracle db

I am working on a project using mybatis-spring:1.0.1 to implement my database access layer. I am fervent proponent of the DRY principle and believe I love simple and straight forward stuffs. Unfortunately though, that is not usually the case. Adhering to the dry principles, I sought to use annotations instead of having numerous xml files defining sql queries. Sounds good doesn't it? Well not so fast my friends. I ran into an issue that is actually documented as note in the ibatis documentation and here it goes
NOTE! When using an Oracle driver, you will get "an invalid type" error if you attempt to set a null value to a column without specifying its type. Has anyone seen this? and if so how can I add those types using annotations and its attributes?
