  • Hibernate version/lastModDate -> AOP injected, how?

    Our domain model has a version, last modification date and last modification user in it. Some of these fields are needed by Hibernate (version) and other byour own framework.

    BUT .... placing these fields inside the domain object is not really good OO is it? They are part of the persistence strategy and do not really belong there. So I was thinking on how to solve this problem?

    AOP perhaps ... does anyone know if and HOW it is possible to inject these three fields at runtime so that my domain model get cleaner! Any hibernate problems with this approach?

    It would be great to see some small example...
