  • Is there any difference between IOC and Di

    Hi All,

Could you please let me know is there any difference between DI and IOC.

In some books it is stated that there is no difference and in some books there is a difference.

Based on my understanding I think both are not same and both have seperate responsibilities.

Could you please help me by clearing this doubt.

Thanks for your help with this

    Hi Brama,
Often it comes down to semantics. The definitions aren't all that clear across the development communitity. That's for sure. I found some of the most helpful explanations at the following sites
    Martin Fowler's article
    Wikipedia Article

My own opinion is that IOC is a much broader architecural principle in which DI addresses one aspect of it. When we're talking about the Spring Framework, the vast majority of what you see is DI.
