  • Registering ApplicationContext in JNDI

I'm trying to register my singleton ApplicationContext in JNDI so it can be accessed from different class loader contexts within a JVM running JBoss. Does anyone have example code that demonstrates how to do this?

I'm not very familiar with JNDI. It seems like I want to bind the object via a Reference or Referenceable. But the tutorials I've found imply that I need to provide a factory to create new instances. I don't want to do this--I want JNDI to point to the existing instance. This should be possible, since I only need shared access within the JVM, right?

My apologies in advance. I know this is not strictly a Spring question, but Spring is leading me down this garden path. ;-) Thanks.

figure out if applicationContext is serializable...

JNDI won't support registering a non serializable bean(i guess its non-ser..) ... i read it somewhere else... won't have much idea but me too trying the same thing...
