  • Adding configuration to an already configured bean

    I have a question regarding configuring a bean. I would like to do the following:

    <!-- define a bean somewhere else -->
    <bean id="example" class="...">
    ...
    </bean>

    <!-- and then somewhere else, probably a seperate config file
    set a property on the previously defined bean -->
    <bean id="example">
    <property>
    ...
    </property>
    </bean>

    What I am reallly after is a concise way to have a "library" defined in a separate project that I can drop in to another project, and have that project just provide some values (or override values).

    In Hivemind, there was the concept of contributing configuration info to a bean definition.

    Any help would be appreciated.
