  • Component scanning and JavaConfig

Is there a way to configure component scanning from a JavaConfig Configuration ?

I know I can do it with xml and use an hybrid configuration with xml & Javaconfig. However, I really like the statically typed getBean(class) from JavaConfigApplicationContext and so would rather use only JavaConfig.

Check the ComponentScanBeanDefinitionParser and check what is happening there.

Basically you need to setup a ClassPathBeanDefinitionScanner that will scan the classpath for beans.

      Hi David,

I am prototyping first-class support for component scanning in JavaConfig right now. What would really help is for you to enter a New Feature request in JIRA: http://jira.springframework.org/browse/SJC

      Thanks,

      - Chris
