  • SimpleMailMessage with a PERIOD in the text - problem

    I'm facing a funny/crazy problem.
    If I have a PERIOD(.) in the body text, the email is not sent. for example

    Code:
    SimpleMailMessage msg = new SimpleMailMessage();
    msg.setFrom("[email protected]");
    msg.setSubject("My subject");
    msg.setTo([email protected]);
    msg.setText("this is my body");

    mailSender.send(msg);
    This is sent successfully. But if I have
    Code:
    msg.setText("this is my body.")
    the email is not sent. Any thoughts??

    My applicationContext.xml:
    Code:
    <bean id="mailSender" class="org.springframework.mail.javamail.JavaMailSenderImpl">
       <property name="host"><value>myhost.company.com</value></property>
    	</bean>

    Do you have a stack trace showing an exception or is the message reaching the SMTP server but not getting transmitted successfully?
