  • Bean config best practice

This may have been answered before but my search didn't lead me anywhere. I have a java app (initial stages, no web-app yet) which has a few beans that I manage using Spring. There's a beans.xml (XmlBeanConfig) in the same package as my domain objects. Where do I create the BeanConfig? I think it makes sense to have a singleton that stores it. Does it?

When I eventually have a web-app, I can use the servlet listener, but till then is this an acceptable practice?

    Thanks
    Srini

    P.S. Yes, I'm a spring newbie.

Take a look at Bootstrapping IoC container in Spring standalone app.
