  • Prevent cron trigger from running at schedule start

    Hi Guys,

I have a cron setup working nicely, one thing that I find kind of annoying, if the applicationContext is loaded, yet the scheduler that manages my jobs is not running, if I go past a time scheduled in my cron expression, and then start my scheduler the job will automatically run. What I'd prefer is for Spring/Quartz to ignore any scheduled runtimes have passed while the scheduler was off and only to respond to upcoming scheduled runtimes. Does this make sense? Has anyone seen what I'm talking about, I'm sure its a feature, not a bug, but I'm looking to disable it

    Thanks

Quartz has the concept of a misfire instruction.

Glad it helped. The JavaDoc contains the main details, but there is a little bit of information in the tutorials.
