  • Feeding runtime objects into BeanFactory managed prototypes

    Hi!

Is there a standardized or recommended way how to feed instances of objects that can only be determined at runtime, into a graph of beans created by the BeanFactory. An example:

I would like to define my UI components in the ApplicationContext. Let's assume I have a dialog with various input fields as subcomponents that allow the user to edit his personal information. The dialog should be defined as prototype in the applicationContext.xml. Each input field instance in the dialog should be linked to exactly one property of the User object, via a Proxy of some sort, so that the property gets updated when the user hits OK. Similar to the standard Java EventHandler mechanism.

None of the mechanisms I have looked at seem to adress my problem. Any hints?

    Thanks,

    Andreas
