  • JMX assembler problem/question.

Currently there are 2 assemblers, one that uses metadata and one that uses reflection, but with the last one it is not possible to skip certain methods. But the first one can`t be applied to classes/interfaces that can`t be modified (eg.. jdk classes).

So.. how can I fix this problem? Could it be possible to add a new assembler where the methods to be used in jmx are declared in the application context? In this way I could jmx-ify objects without changing to the source of the object itself... and have control which methods are jmx-ified..

In the final release of Spring JMX there will be a third assembler implementation that allows you to specify exactly which methods/properties of a bean get exposed without modifying the bean source. How this will work exactly in not yet finalised, but I have almost finished up on the other parts of the JMX stuff so this is one of the next tasks.
